Back when they were Made in USA and had a "Lifetime" warranty. But that is all gone now. The quality of new Craftsman tools is poor and down-engineered. A real shame. Tekton is what I buy now. Some Tekton tools are Made in USA, but most seem to be made in Taiwan and China. I wish they were all Made in Canada or USA. That said, Tekton quality seems to be good.
