The sleek, durable design is sure to last, allowing you to be quick and precise with your cuts, thrusts, and throws. With enough experience with this primitive yet reliable hunting tool, you will surely feel that you are doing what your ancestors were good at. For many years in the forests of Europe, the boar spear was the tool of choice for hunting and even made appearances on the battlefield. This modern recreation of the classic spear is cold-forged out of medium carbon SK-5 steel and heat-treated to a spring temper, flexing under stress rather than breaking. Built with top-quality materials, this boar hunting spear is enough to spice up your game hunting season with something different and challenging compared to the usual bow, crossbow, and rifle hunting. The distinctive wide leaf-shaped blade and edges offer equal capability when cutting, lunging, and thrusting. Weighing only 4.25 pounds, you'll be able to transport this hunting spear with ease and move swiftly when in hand. This hunting spear comes complete with a heavyweight shaft made from an American ash tree and a sturdy Secure-Ex sheath. It is not shown in the picture.** A: Yes the shaft is included. Blade Length: 18-1/2" (Head)Handle: 71" x 1-2" Premium AshOverall Length: 82-1/8"Steel: SK-5 Medium CarbomWeight: 68 ounces overall **Q: I misplaced the screws that came with this, can I get a replacement at a hardware store? What should I look for?** A: Yes find replacement screws. As stated the screws add extra securement. If you can't find screws then small SHORT nails will work as well and the nails will be more historically accurate (if that's a concern) I used nails in mine and I am quite pleased with the result. As also said. Heat the socket before inserting the shaft, it will form a tighter fit. Just don't heat it to much or you could effect the temper **Q: What's the overall length?** A: The shaft alone is 6ft, combined with a foot long blade is a whopping seven feet overall. **Q: Is this spear head a cold steel second** A: I wouldn't know. I've heard they do put seconds on the market. As far as I could tell, mine was not a second. Trouble is, I didn't buy my spearhead from Amazon... only the Kydex sheath that I needed to purchase separately. I have no idea whether the outfit I purchased the spearhead from markets seconds, or whether Amazon does. With this item it probably doesn't matter: it is a practical weapon for rough-and-ready use. It is also so dangerous that one false move could sever your forearm. Be careful. ## Frequently Bought Together - Cold Steel Medium Carbon SK 5 Steel Boar Hunting Spear with Secure Ex Sheath - Cold Steel Gunstock War Club, Black - Cold Steel Medieval Buckler Polymer Shield --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.gr/products/1591390-boar-hunting-spear-with-18-sk-5-blade-ash-wood](https://www.desertcart.gr/products/1591390-boar-hunting-spear-with-18-sk-5-blade-ash-wood) --- *Product available on Desertcart Greece* *Store origin: GR* *Last updated: 2026-10-18*
