Never had an issue with them. They were reasonably strong and I loved that they are compostable.It appears they changed something in manufacturing, likely to cut cost. These spoons are extremely brittle, now. Some come out of the package already broken. I've resorted to checking with minor flexing to make sure it's not going to break in my food, and even that isn't a 100% guarantee.I'm going to have to find another brand, I guess.
