Review: Works great in a freezer! - After buying our first two pieces of this thermometer for the refrigerator in our RV, I bought two more for my father-in-law, and another two for use in our home. By carefully adjusting our refrigerator down to a temperature closer to 32°F, we've been able to extend the life of several kinds of food in our refrigerator. There's a big difference between 45°F (i.e. just barely cold enough), and 35°F. Now my milk stays good much longer. They're also good in our two freezers, just as a "peace of mind" indicator. When you open the door of your deep-freeze, you know that everything is frozen, but just HOW frozen is it? We saved hundreds of dollars worth of food that was in the upright freezer in our garage when I opened the door and saw that the thermometer read 36°F. Nothing had had really defrosted yet, but I figured out that the freezer door had been popped open slightly by the oversized item I had put in the freezer the day before. Worth every penny!
