All HP cylinders come with a 10 year hydrotest date stamped. All HP cylinders are within 2 years of stamped date. Meets DOT and/or ISO regulations. If DOT cylinder -DOT number is stamped on the tank. Rated Safety on Valve: 3,360 psi. Manfacturer's Cylinder Specifications: 40 cu/ft Steel High Pressure Gas Cylinders: Working Pressure = 3AA2015, Test Pressure = 3360, Diameter = 6-3/4", Length = 16-3/8", Weight = 17 lbs. It is advised to contact your local gas supplier(s) to verify their policy on re-filling customer-owned cylinders. No Return on Full or Empty cylinders due to DOT regulations associated with the transport of the cylinders. Review: Good tank fast shipping - Got it fast and was way cheaper than the welding supply store locally. They swapped it out for a full on so I got the gas I needed and they got a brand new tank.
Review: 40 cu/ft Argon Cylinder -EMPTY - slightly more frugal than just buying it at Airgas - Most places--at least near me--do not fill argon tanks, and require that you swap the cylinder for a filled one, so keep this in mind. I purchased this and was able to successfully swap it for a filled cylinder at Airgas. Going this route saved something like $20-40 compared to buying the cylinder directly from them. It had the correct cert/markings for exchange, no issues whatsoever. !!! --> If you live in a rural area and are supplied by an Airgas satellite branch, you will probably need to call them ahead of time to let them know you want them to call in a 40 cu ft. argon tank from their central hub/distributor. They let me request this, and held it for me for a short time at no charge with no strings attached (if I didn't end up needing to swap for it they would have sold it to someone else or eventually moved it to another location).

**Q: Does airgas accept these? are they ok to use with argon/c02 mix? do they have d.o.t. stamped on them somewhere?**
A: Airgas locally would not fill ours.  We had to find an alternative supplier.  I don't know if it is rated for welding gas use.

**Q: Is this DOT certified?**
A: Yes. but if your intention is to go to a gas exchange facility then save your money and buy one from them. I was disappointed for not knowing before hand that when I bring mine to be filled with dry nitrogen that my nice new bottle will taken in exchange for a filled crappy bottle of theirs.

**Q: Can this be used for MIG welding?**
A: Yes. I use it for tig welding that is 100% argon. And exchange it at Norco when it is empty.

**Q: Do these cylinders accept safety caps? If so, which design & size?**
A: No
