My PS4 was stuck in safe mode because it couldn't update, my blueray drive was broken. This replacement was easy to install and my PS4 works perfectly now. For the poor reviews left, I wonder if they didn't check their model number before ordering because I had no issues. ### ⭐ Does not come with the tools. *by J***S on October 31, 2024* Did not come with anything except the disc drive. None of the tools that it says it comes with came with it. Once I figure out if the disc drive actually works (can't install it until my tools come) I might revise the rating. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If you're on the Fence *by K***E on May 15, 2021* HEY, be careful friends. I see many a person upset with their purchase, and I believe it is not the products fault. Sony makes multiple models of PS4 with varying degrees of difficulty in changing this unit.Check a few things to ensure this product is correct. Is your PS4 model number listed in this product's title? And are you familiar or comfortable with the inside of electronics. You will need to be able to pry off the top layer of plastic (gently). Remove the Power Unit (which I believe you should use fine pliers to unplug cords which get in the way). Then remove and reinstall the Optical Drive (Disc tray).Fairly easy. Great product. Works on blurays, DVDs and games perfect. No power or ejection issues. Just ensure you have the right model.
