This is a monitor that I bought to replace a six year old one that was showing wear. This is a high quality monitor with a very handy case. I am very satisfied with Omron BP wrist monitors. This is my second Omron BP wrist monitor. I tried another brand but it was awkward to put on and the way it worked was not good for a wrist or any other BP monitor, for that matter. There is a right way and a wrong way to take someone's BP and this monitor does it right. I suggest following the instructions to the letter for how to use this monitor.

It is good for getting the first readings when you feel initially with blood pressure, it is small easy to have in small bag.My concern is that it is not for blood pressure patient, nothing accurate like analog.

This blood pressure monitor is so easy to use and practical , all you have to do is place it on your wrist with the screen on the inside of your arm not like you wear a watch , check the instructions, than press a bottom and it will read your blood pressure , I use it for my mom and she does not like technology that much but it was really easy for her to use and understand the readings, now I want to order another one for my self , made it with really good quality materials , it’s battery operated and comes with a plastic case. Also, very good price.

This blood pressure monitor cuff is an important part of my day. I use it to determine medications and dosages of medications, as per my heart doctor’s advice. It’s easy and convenient to use. And I like having a snazzy little box to keep it in because it makes it easy to find. I actually have two of these cuffs because I misplaced one, thought it was gone forever. So I ordered another one. Then I found my other one, of course. I can tell you that both give similar readings and are accurate.

12-20-2019 I HATE TO BE NEGATIVE BUT TRUTHFULLY THIS WRIST STRAP BLOOD PRESSURE MACHINE'S PROBLEM IS THAT IT IS CHEAP QUALITY. IT HAS TWO SIGNIFICANT PROBLEMS. (1) THE WRIST STRAP THAT SECURES AROUND YOUR WRIST IS VERY FLIMSY. YOU CANNOT GET A GOOD "GRIP" AROUND YOUR WRIST. YOU CANNOT MAKE IT FIT "TIGHT." CONSEQUENTLY YOU GET POOR READINGS. AS FOR ACCURACY, BOTH MY WIFE AND I TESTED IT REPEATEDLY AGAINS A $120. (2018 PRICE AT CVS) OMRON UPPER ARM EVOLV MONITOR AND THE LAKMUST WAS REPEATEDLY OFF BY 10-15 POUNDS. I THINK THE REASON IS BECAUSE OF THE FLIMSY, CHEAP QUALITY WRIST STRAP. I HAVE BEEN USING AN OMRON HEM-650 SINCE I BOUGHT IT IN 2007. IT ALWAYS WORKED GREAT AND WAS VERY ACCURATE. BUT THE "ENGINE" FINALLY GAVE OUT. IT WOULDN'T BUILD UP ENOUGH "TIGHTNESS" AGAINST THE WRIST AND IT GAVE ME LOW READINGS. ONE FEATURE ABOUT THE OMRON 650 THAT THE LAKMUST DIDN'T HAVE IS THAT THE OMRON GAVE A SOLID AUDIO TONE WHEN YOU HAD YOUR ARM CORRECTLY ALIGNED WITH YOUR HEART TO GIVE THE MOST ACCURATE READING. YOU DO GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. BOTH THE LAKMUST AND THE OMRON ARE MADE IN CHINA. SO YOU CAN'T BLAME THE CHINESE. THE LAKMUST IS CHEAP QUALITY, BUT IN FAIRNESS TO THEM, IT'S ALSO CONSIDERABLY CHEAPER (LOWER) IN PRICE. THE OMRON WRIST BP MONITOR IS MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE. BUT LETS SEE, THE OMRON HEM-650 LASTED FROM 2019-2007=12 YEARS. NOT BAD FOR A DEVICE I USED TO TEST MY BP THREE TIMES A DAY FOR 12 YEARS. THAT'S 13,140 TESTS! IF I DID MY MATH CORRECT. SO I'M GOING TO GO AHEAD AND PURCHASE AN OMRON WRIST BLOOD PRESSURE MONITOR FROM, YOU GUESSED CORRECTLY, AMAZON. IT WILL COST ME A LITTLE LESS THAN 3 TIMES WHAT THE LAKMUST COST, BUT YOU DO SAVE MONEY IN THE LONG RUN WHEN YOU PAY EXTRA FOR QUALITY. THAT IS BECAUSE YOU DON'T KEEP HAVING TO BUY AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN, AS THE CHEAP STUFF KEEPS FAILING. MY LAST REGRIGERATOR, AN AMANA, LASTED ALMOST 30 YEARS. MY NEW REFRIGERATOR JUST BOUGHT GIVES ONLY A "CONDITIONAL" WARRANTY OF 10 YEARS. TRY FINDING A REFRIGERATOR THAT GIVES YOU AN HONEST WARRANTY OF MORE THAN 10 YEARS. I AM GOING TO BUY THE NEW OMRON WRIST BP MONITOR FROM AMAZON BECAUSE, LET'S BE HONEST, WHERE CAN YOU GET A BETTER DEAL? SIX MONTHS AGO I BOUGHT A BIG FLUFFY BATHROOM TOWEL FROM W------ BECAUSE THE PRICE WAS SO LOW, ALWAYS LOW. IT RIPPED APART TWO NIGHTS AGO WHILE I WAS DRYING MYSELF OFF. HAVING READ A NUMBER OF CHARLES HUGH SMITH'S BOOKS ABOUT THE "LAND FILL ECONOMY", THE "DUMPSTER ECONOMY" (AVAILABLE ON AMAZON, JUST PUT IN THE NAME IN THE SEARCH BAR) , I WENT TO AMAZON AND BOUGHT FOUR 100% COTTON, MADE IN TURKEY, QUALITY BATH TOWLES. THEY COST A LOT MORE THAN "ALWAYS LOW PRICES" PLACE, BUT THE NEW 100% COTTON BATH TOWELS, TURKY MADE, WILL LAST MANY MANY MORE YEARS AND THUS IN THE LONG RUN I WILL ACTUALLY SAVE A LOT MORE THAN GOING WITH THE CHEAP CHEAP LOW PRICE LOW QUALITY STUFF. I HOPE AND WISH THAT AMAZON HAD SOME WAY TO MEASURE OR EXPRESS OR DOCUMENT THE QUALITY ASPECT OF WHAT THEY SELL. IN OTHER WORDS, A SORT OF AMAZON CONSUMER REPORT MEASURE. I THINK THEIR CUSTOMERS WOULD GLADLY PAY FOR REAL QUALITY. BUT THE PROBLEM IS HOW DO YOU KNOW, OR HOW DO YOU MEASURE THE QUALITY. IT CAN BE SUBJECTIVE. YOU CAN'T TRUST WHAT THE MANUFACTURERS SAY BECAUSE WITH THEM IT'S ALL ABOUT MARKETING, ADS AND MARKETING IS THE PRACTICE OF DECEPTION (YOU DON'T NEED TO READ SUN TZU TO KNOW THAT) . THAT IS WHY IF YOU BUY A CARTON OF CEREAL, SAY "COUNT CHOCKULA" YOU MAY SEE A LABEL THAT HAS A HEART LOGO AND SAYS "HEART HEALTHY." SURE, 200 GRAMS OF SUGAR IS "HEARTH HEALTHY." SO FOR SURE YOU CAN'T TRUST THE MARKETING LABELS AND CLAIMS. IN FORLORN HOPE, I ONLY WISH IN SOMEWAY AMAZON COULD ATTEST TO THE QUALITY OF PARTICULAR PRODUCTS THEY SELL, SO THAT THEIR CUSTOMERS CAN MAKE AN HONEST CHOICE BASED ON COST vs QUALITY. AMAZON IS THE GREATEST MARKET PLACE IN THE UNITED STATES.

UPDATE 10/15/2020: We ended up returning for a refund.Over 20 or more readings compared to our upper arm unit (that has been confirmed as extremely accurate at my Drs office), this cuff.wrist unit is off on readings. Even multiple readings done seconds apart without moving it at all seemed to vary much more than our upper arm unit did.Upon reading/researching more about cuff/wrist versus upper arm units, most of the professional sites (including Mayo Clinic) warn not to use a cuff/wrist unit due to poor accuracy. One factor is the slightest incorrect positioning on wrist can impact your readings substantially.Upper arm units are far more forgiving, stable for accuracy and allow some variation in positioning of where the upper arm cuff is positioned. Not the case for a wrist unit, meaning each time you use it will be a flip of a coin if your readings are accurate and "dependable"!-----------------Well, first to say, the plastic screen is not protected by a film or anything and can rub inside the hard case during shipment. Ours was new and upon opening the case, we noticed scratches and abrasions on it due to no protection.Ok, I said, we can refund/reorder or exchange, but, I did test it out and it's right on the money to our $100 arm BP machine that is very accurate as verified at my Drs office side by side with their professional unit.Be advised that Wrist/Cuff BP machines are generally not considered as accurate or reliable as a good upper arm BP unit. While it is more convenient and space saving, a cuff/wrist unit can be off just due to improper positioning or a poorly engineered/designed one. Google "upper arm versus wrist cuff blood pressure machines" and see what comes up, it will be very informative and help you make a decision!BP results take about 30 seconds or so w/ this machine,.. a bit longer than our large Arm monitor. No biggee.Accuracy and being confident this machine will agree with your Drs results was the highest priority for us.Be advised, some of us all often have an elevated BP at the Dr's. (because we don't want to be there!).Our arm machine compared perfectly at my Drs office. A 2nd reading after relaxing for 5 minutes is almost always lower.This wrist cuff machine was within 2-3 points of our arm machine as tested seconds after this cuff machine came off and I am totally good with its accuracy.We plan to order another one of these as external reviews outside of Amazon suggested this is THE one to buy.This unit may cost more, but, hey, if you want accuracy and to be able to track your true BP, this is the one to invest in!
