I don't have a use for the cell phone pocket or the tactical strap, and prefer to keep my pens in my shirt pocket instead of the one provided in the shorts, but they're there if you want them. The fit is good and they are comfortable and non-binding, even in the most demanding physical situations. They are also sturdy enough to stand up to those situations, due to the fabric and the triple closure as well as the stitching. The deep rear pockets are nice. I have them in black, the brown and gray. They have lasted over 4 years.
