This was used on fairly normal- wavy hair. The first time using it was set to 410°F. With one pass it delivered silky straight hair. The temperature is displayed digitally and can be set in increments of 10 degrees. The cord is nice and won't tangle. The straightener heats up quite quickly.The way this is designed it allows you to get pretty much all the way down to your roots without burning you. The on/off button is also the temperature adjustment button. One of the pictures I added shows how you could accidentally change a setting with your palm. Once you are aware of this it is easy to avoid though. The outer part of the device stays cool to the touch while the ceramic plates work their magic. The button is in a great spot for any adjustments but it isn’t awkward that I’m constantly turning it off like old straightener. I now have the pin straight hair I have always wanted. I love this little device it is amazing! I am so glad I purchased it. It also comes with hair clips to help separate your hair to make straightening easier. Such a great product!
