DISAPPOINTED: I've tested these weights with TWO different pressure gauges; these Red Top weights appear to hold about 9 psi; this is with the universal pressure vents. It will differ with different vent tubes. If you do not have vent tubes that are matching, it's anyone's guess. (Could get some really high pressures or low.) The black weights on Amazon are marked with the same pressure, 80 kpa on the bottom, but the two weights do not weigh the same, so how could they hold the same pressure; they don't. The black ones are a little heavier and will hold just over 10 psi. (By the way, 80 kpa equals 11.6, and neither the Black Top or Red Top will reach the pressure marked on the weight in the tests I made.) I tested with two different vent tubes, one that came with the black weight in a kit bought here on Amazon, and also with universal vent tubes that I ordered separately. Both weights held the same psi with either of the Vent Tubes. *so called Universal" If you have pressure cooker and know the brand, that is only missing the weight, order the pressure regulator for that particular cooker; you'll be way ahead. I am sure you have seen Presto and other cookers that have a weight with three setting on them, which is nice, but mostly not necessary.
