I wouldn't say this would be for a complete beginner to sewing. Personally I think it would be overwhelming but if you know someone who sews that could help a bit that would work! I've never sewn clothes before, and these directions are so clear and the pictures are incredibly helpful. I just bought some more fabric to make a Tabitha dress and some Juno pajama bottoms. I definitely take longer than the pattern says, but that's because I'm going super slow and careful! Taking my time, trying to make everything nice and even -- just like the book says to do. Hooray!
