I have bought for my middle child for christmas he is 10 years old. It so hard to buy for a child of this age as he has most things. He keeps on going on about a remote control car so we finally give in and bought him one for christmas. I had it out of the box as soon as it came to check it out. For dad to have a go really lol. It is really fast it flew from one end of the room to the other. I really wanted to see how well it went so went outside while the boys were at school. Not only is it really fast but it has quite a long distance in range with fully charged batteries. My son is going to love it. We haven't been able to drive it outside yet as weather has been bad. But the speed it goes is amazing. Never seen a toy go so fast. The car is so cool looking. The remote control is so easy to use and also very cool. With a steering wheel to turn left and right. The car is charged via USB and all you need is 3 AA for the remote. My kids and partner love it. And I recommend everyone that is looking to get a RC car to get this one. You will not be disappointed. This has been a nice RC vehicle to play with in the street, the battery life is fairly good too. Most importantly it isn't difficult to maneuver.
