I tried taping around the rubber or plastic seal that the glass is set in, but still leaks. Then I saw a Flex Seal commercial on tv and the video up first was sealing a windshield with the "clear" type of Flex seal. After taping all around the windshield with blue painters tape, as you don't want any spray getting on the painted part, I put 3 coats of the "clear" Flex Seal above and below the windshield's rubber seal. Wait about 4 to 6 hours between applying the coats of the Flex Seal. I tested the seal this morning with my water hose...... NO LEAKS ANY WHERE !!!! THIS STUFF WORKS !!!!!! It went on very easily, and I’ve been impressed with how well it holds up; after 34 days, there are absolutely no signs of peeling or poor adhesion. Most importantly, I haven't seen a single leak from the repaired spot since I applied it. It’s also incredibly discreet, as I can hardly even see where the damage was anymore.
