After months of worrying about crashing through the slats anytime I moved (which did happen a couple times!), I decided it was time to purchase something much more supportive.I was concerned about getting a new bed, simply because I assumed (wrongly) that I would need to spend hundreds of pounds to secure a genuinely sturdy and strong bed. Being 24 stone (although gradually losing weight), it was important to me that I didn’t just buy another basic wooden slat bed. After searching around for beds designed to take the weight of a man my size, I stumbled upon this one. £66 seemed to be unbelievable for a king size bed, although it is only made of metal and there isn’t too much too it. After reading many reviews about stuffiness, weights of the sleeper, and watching several YouTube videos about them, I decided to purchase the king size version of this bed.It took a little while to be dispatched, despite showing as in stock, but given Covid is going on I wasn’t too bothered. When it did arrive, I quickly went to work putting it together. Assembly is so easy! It’s a few wing nut screws, and about 20 minutes. I easily managed this on my own. The bed is very light and easy to move around. After building it, I popped the mattress on and gave it a try. Instantly I found it to be higher off the ground than my previous bed, which was an added bonus! Now I can get in and out of bed much easier. I laid down, and there was no noise, no issues or worries about falling through anything. It is an amazing bed!I’ve now slept on it for nearly a week and I’m so happy with my purchase. I obviously can’t yet comment on durability and life of the bed, but if anything changes I will update the review to reflect it. For now, though, I am extremely happy and expect this bed to last me many years. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good product, well made *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 10 September 2026* Great product, easy to put together and despite it being a mobile collapsible bed, there was no squeaking or creaking, not a sound to disrupt my sleep. We used our memory foam foldable mattress and it was incredibly comfortable and great value for money. I highly recommend. ## Frequently Bought Together - Zinus SmartBase Double Bed frame - Bed 135x190 cm - 35 cm Height with Underbed Storage - Metal Platform Bed frame great for a guest bed - Black - Doubleslee Folding Mattress Double 4ft6, 6 Inch Foldable Double Bed Mattress Memory Foam, 4 Fold Easy Storage With Washable Cover for Travel, Camping, Caravans, Guest Bed (135x190x15cm) - Inofia Folding Mattress Cover, Foldable Mattress Storage Bag, Sofa Bed Cover,Durable Carry Case Fits for 15cm Double Tri Folding Mattress,Washable （Mattress Not Included） --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.gr/products/152022876-zinus-shawn-4ft6-double-folding-bed-frame-under-bed-storage](https://www.desertcart.gr/products/152022876-zinus-shawn-4ft6-double-folding-bed-frame-under-bed-storage) --- *Product available on Desertcart Greece* *Store origin: GR* *Last updated: 2026-10-25*
