Thwy share so much with me as we read that I can only get through a few pages a night because I can't read for hours with them before bed. Definitely had been helpful with them already and we just got to chapter 3. My 5 year old was crying and my husband tried ro talk with him to see what was wrong and my son calmly stated he needed some time to himself until he could calm his emotions down. And walked away for a few minutes before coming back to tell us what he was feeling. I was so proud of him calming himself down and then discussing it. I have seen some attitude improvements with my 10 year old too. Emotions can even be hard for adults but it's overwhelming for some kids. This book is written appropriately for both these ages. I was shocked that thwy both get into it so much and love it. Definitely feel like this is a good book for the parents to read with the kids.
