This is the type of product I would probably use once and then what's leftover would dry out on a shelf in the next few years. A small tube of this is perfect for a one-time use such as this. Remember, this number 609 (green) is semi-permanent. Removing fasteners requires heating them up to separate. Review: Bike BB30 application - be careful! - I use this for BB30 bottom brackets on bikes. The idea is to prevent the inevitable creak. Be careful not to use too much! I think that was my problem on first use. It worked great; no creak. But when it came time to replace the BB due to worn bearings, it could not be removed (with proper tools). I finally had to take a dremel and cut through the metal bearing retainers to cut into the plastic BB housing to get it out! I *think* I didn't damage my bike's BB shell at all...but be careful! Use a tiny amount only. And remember: BB30 bottom brackets are not meant to be removed, other than when replaced. It was advised for use in assmbling a barrel to an upper receiver.** A: Do not use any type of thread lock on the barrel nut. Use anti-seize compond, tighten the nut to 35-40 inch pounds at least three times, then tighten to final torque. Typical hub temps for a disc brake wheel can reach 200Β°. I would say this product would not be ideal. A temp reading of your hub would help. Depending on how much work your trailer brakes are doing, they might be lower. A temp reading of your hubs would help.
