**Q: Is this the original Kikkoman Fried Rice Packet with Darker packaging?**
A: I 
use to put water in a small dish for the powder.  Now they have you sprinkle it on your rice.  I went back to putting  a teaspoon of water to the powder and then putting on the rice.  It taste the same to me.  It is the same just different packaging.  My family loves it..

A: It doesn’t say but based on the nutrition facts label on package it does not contain Monosodium Glutamate.

To us, it tastes good. We add chicken and peas but I'm sure you could add beef, broccoli, green beans or whatever vegetables if you wish. We find this to be a good substitute for restaurant fried rice. Super easy to use.
