Our product is rigorously tested by a third-party lab approved by the US Consumer Product Safety Commission. It is tested as a toy/children's product for ages 6+, and as such, complies with the US toy safety regulations. As part of that in-depth battery of tests (CPSIA and the ASTM F963 toy safety standard), our iron filings are tested for potentially toxic elements and metals, including lead. We are a US children's products manufacturer and do not cut corners on safety. **Q: Can I add this to regular indoor wall paint to create a magnetic wall?** A: No, this product was not designed to be added to paint. **Q: Would adding this to magnetic paint improve the hold of magnets?** A: It may help but it may not improve it as much as you would like. I guess you just have to try a small sample and see how much you need to mix to make any appreciable effect. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good quality *by S***A on 1 June 2019* Good ### ⭐ Pésimo *by G***G on 18 June 2024* Llegó abierto y se tiró más de la mitad ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ As Advertised *by A***R on 21 June 2024* No complaints. ## Frequently Bought Together - Dowling Magnets Iron Filings, Jar (12 ounces) with shaker lid - 3 Inch Educational Alnico Bar Magnet with North South Identified for Student Teachers Science Education, 2 Pack - by Copper wire USA -18 Ga 25 Ft Solid Round Copper Wire Coil - Dead Soft --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.gr/products/149475150-dowling-magnets-iron-filings-jar-12-ounces-with-shaker-lid](https://www.desertcart.gr/products/149475150-dowling-magnets-iron-filings-jar-12-ounces-with-shaker-lid) --- *Product available on Desertcart Greece* *Store origin: GR* *Last updated: 2026-10-16*
