These are rated GH for the friction coefficient (stamped on the shims) so they are very good. The clips are stainless steel that sandwich between the pads and the mounting bracket so no rust should form on the surfaces that the pads slide back and forth on. I did not put grease in those slots because of my concern that grease could somehow find its way onto the disc and render the brake useless and potentially cause an accident. The guide tabs on the pads were too tight so I hand filed them until they slide in their grooves with a mild effort but were not so loose as to be sloppy. I did replace the lube on the guide pins and replaced the rubber seals also. After about 300 miles they have seated and work fine, as to be expected. And, I saved about $400+ by doing this myself, with the Lord's help, of course. I will say there is no fading when the brake pads are hot and do an excellent job of stopping a 4000 lb. Jeep Wrangler .
