I hate using the giant 2" J hooks to cradle 5 CAT6 wires, waste of money and too big. These J-Hooks are the perfect size for anything under 20 wires. I was able to use then recently for 24 CAT6 wires but had to use a zip tie to keep it all contained. I will be using these exclusively in the future for anything 20 and under (5 and 6). ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Useful when installing cables to secure them, keeps cable runs neat and organized *by C***. on October 9, 2023* Southwire SW-JHK-21 6" Cable Support J-Hook are a very useful piece of hardware for installing low voltage cable (especially ethernet Cat cable) to keep the cables secure as well as make cable runs neat and organized. The j-hooks are formed to minimize sharp edges. They are easily attached to walls, studs, joists or ceilings with screws (recommend pan head screws). The j-hooks can be repositioned if needed, even if cables are in them as long as they are not crammed full. The rollers are in a separate bag so they can be installed after cables are laid in the j-hooks, and the rollers work if having to thread more cable through the j-hook or keeping cables contained in j-hooks attached to a joist /ceiling. Even the simplest cable install looks great when these j-hooks are used. There are several sizes of j-hooks to fit different sizes or numbers of cables. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent for running cable in an attic *by R***1 on February 12, 2022* I used these to when retrofitting a lot of new CAT6 drops into my home. Rather than laying the cables on top of the insulation in my attic, I attached these brackets to all of the attic studs/trusses to create nice routes for the cables to run overhead in the attic space. I have much less concern now about people accidentally stepping on / damaging the cables in the attic if we need work done up there in the future.I had to spend a lot of time planning out the ideal cable routes in the attic and then and screwing these brackets into appropriate locations, but once that was done it made installing the actual cable much faster and yielded a clean well-organized result. The pins are easy to install but have good retention, and they're able to spin on their axis which makes them sort of act like a roller when pulling cable. The edges of the brackets are curved away from the inner surface and didn't snag or cut into my cables.I used almost all of the 50 pack of 2" hooks that I'd ordered, which surprised me... I didn't think I'd need so many, but I did!
