I need to deburr slots between flanges in aluminum airplane ribs. Can't use anything with iron.** A: Sorry I'm not sure about that. I mainly use em for knives buffing polishing kinda thing nothing as delicate as what ur doing. **Q: can these be used to shape wood?** A: They can be used for wood but give off a lot of dust depending the species and depending on how dry the wood is. Hardness of the wood and speed of the tool you are using also play a part in how long the bit lasts. I use them for drift wood and they do an excellent job. **Q: Brown exterior buildup around my white aluminum window frames, can I use these to sand that hard stubborn muck off?** A: I'd probably start at the higher grit 1st black I believe Is 800 . I'm not in the garage otherwise I could give you Better advice. Always better 2 start at higher grit and Work your way down with whatever u have available on Hand always . Brass and steel ones clean well but don't last very long. Make sure you wear your safety glasses as the little wires fall out during use. Overall for the price they're not bad, just not very durable.
