**Q: does this fit on a 1 inch barbell?**
A: It will fit the standard gym barbell perfectly (is that a 1 inch barbell?)...the same barbell that I've used at every gym I've worked out at for the last 30yrs.  The padding is nice and the kids I trained (both 14 yrs) LOVED it for squats.

**Q: This would work with a 1 inch diameter bar?**
A: That's what I bought it for and it works great. Most bars have a 1 inch grip, and the size variations are more for loading plates.

**Q: Can this fit around a bar on a pilates reformer that is 4.25 inches in diameter?**
A: I don't think so, or at least I wouldn't try.  The bar I use is between 1 - 1 1/2 inches in diameter.

**Q: Can it be cleaned regularly and with what?**
A: yes, it has a removable pad and can be cleaned with soap and water.
