For best result, dig a hole about 4"- 5" deep by 1' wide and 2' long and put the block in it, then get a hammer or rock and bust the top of it some. Try to bust the corners off of it, by doing this you'll have some small granules on the ground and the piece that you broke off, try to bust them to be small. What your doing is making a larger area that the block is in. Also, your busting it up so that when it rains on it a few times the deer are going to run to it. Lol really this is the very best thing you can to do with it. The deer will have that spot so rooted up that you will not believe how well it works honest. The block will get mixed in with the mud that the deer root up, that they will eat mud to get the taste of it. Try it because I've been hunting for 35 years and have never seen anything like this. I guarantee you that if you put anymore of these out, you'll do the same to them.
