This granite mortar and pestle set was a terrific purchase. It is sturdy, durable and turns 10 of my horse's large stomach medication pills into powder in less than 30 seconds (please see video; I wasn't able to upload the full 30 seconds but you'll at least get an idea). The powder is easily poured out and the granite cleans up nicely. The set is beautiful and decorative as well! While the interior of the mortar and end of the pestle are unpolished in order to be effective tools, the outside and length are polished to a lovely shine. We will be using this to grind up other things. I can't believe we didn't buy this sooner; would definitely purchase again. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great old fashion tool! *by D***1 on August 9, 2020* Excellent pill pulverizer! Better than the pill crushers I've used before, those plastic and metal ones don't match up! I used to work in a pharmacy where the pharmacist was also a compounder and he would always use the good old fashioned mortar and pestle, which is why I purchased it. Been using it to pulverize my dogs meds, and then mix the fine powder into their food! No trouble at all, takes seconds to pulverize the pills/tablets, and easy to clean! I bought this for my husband's pills that were impossible to crush. I had tried various models but none worked better than this. I did arrive quickly and of course it's granite so I know it's going to last.
