Whilst the spring-loaded element looks a little flimsy, it’s easy for my 4 y/o to use, helps them cut easily and has surprisingly stood up to the test of multiple Christmas crafts over the past few weeks! They cut paper very well, thought they do find thicker materials tricky (I suspect that’s to help keep them dull enough to be safe for little and clumsy fingers). They seem to be the perfect size for smaller hands, even I and my husband have been able to use them occasionally. Rounded ends help keep little fingers safe, we obviously supervise when in use, but it either a ‘speed cutting’ four y/o it’s reassuring to know the blades are not sharp enough to cause serious damage. Child seems encouraged to use scissors and their skills have improved significantly over the past few weeks. Handy having a pack of 3 in case any break. Would definitely buy again.
