A: Hi, I bought it for a 6 year old he is small but when I saw it on him , it would probably fit up to and 8 year old it is good size

**Q: Hi, are batteries needed for any of the parts?**
A: No batteries needed.

**Q: Is the focus actually adjustable on the binoculars?**
A: Yes, the binoculars move in and out and to suit the width of your child's eyes and have a central wheel to adjust the focus. Bought for 3 little boys ages 3 to 9 , not only did they look adorable in the outfit , it peaked their imaginations and got them to hunt for bugs as a team. I would highly recommend this for any child, great quality outfit and makes for great adventures in a yard !!!
