**Q: what are the chemicals that this softener is made from?**
A: Material Data Safety Sheet says Citric Acid and Sodium Chloride, both listed as 30-60%, since the formula is proprietary

**Q: Why is this listed as a "City Water" softener cleaner when the Pro Products website describes it as an all-purpose softener cleaner?**
A: Possibly because most City Water sources are not high in iron. There are separate products which are better for cleaning your softener when your water source is high in iron.

**Q: Is this a 4 or 5 pound container? Description says 4 pounds but pic shows 5 pounds. Thanks**
A: i am not home to look at it, but i believe it's 4 #

**Q: If anyone has an empty 4lb or 1.5lb bottle of this, can you fill it up with water and tell me how many gallons of liquid it holds?**
A: The 1.5 lb bottle is the same size and shape as a quart of motor oil,  but a bit thinner.  So guessing it would hold about 28-30 oz of water.

I will probably use this product again however, unless I did a side-by-side comparison with the original OEM cleaner it would be hard to determine if it works better than it. It does seem to work okay so I will keep using it until I have some sort of a problem as it is more affordable than the OEM product.
