**Q: do these filters have a plastic bottom or are they flimsy?**
A: They're more flimsy..no plastic bottom. The water needs to travel through the top and bottom.

**Q: How often should you change the water?**
A: I change the water once a week. The filter every 3 to 4 weeks. I also add water each day to keep it filled up & flowing out of the flower due to evaporation & water that my 2 cats drink. Hope that helps.

**Q: The cotton is white so I’m guessing it’s been bleached. Any research done on the chemicals the cats are being exposed to because of this?**
A: The picture looks whiter than the actual product.  Looks like unbleached cotton in real life.
