I drink scotch neat frequently, and would rather not have square rocks tumbling towards my nose.The king cubes have a slow melt, but the shape isn't really a "cube" at all. They've impressed thus far, but it was time to up my game.I'm pretty excited about these spheres! Not only do you have a slow melt, but they freeze to look like quartz spheres. The only drawback to the spheres is that you can't crank them out as fast since you only get 2 spheres, and any more would be difficult to find space for in my freezer. So, I can only get about 4 per day if I switch them out twice.My plan (besides refraining from using them until I have a stockpile and some guests), is to make that great first impression with these babies, then switch to the king cubes. Of course, at this aforementioned drinking establishment, the "rocks" where made by hand. Of course I don't have the time or patience to sculpt them myself, so I ordered six of these and I am glad I did. They are a great conversation piece and do the job excellently.
