Well, forget it: when they say "splash," they mean hint of a hint. This coffee is effectively black. Great if you want it that way, but I bought it for the additions, and I LIKE MY MOCHA. I can't judge black coffee because I don't drink it, so you'll have to judge for yourself. In order to drink this, I have to add creamer and chocolate, which misses the point. I don't mind that it's not sweetened, that was a plus for me so I could sweeten it myself (all companies sweeten too much and none use maple syrup). Guess I'll have to stick with La Columbe (not organic) and Rise ("creamed" with oat). Actually, I prefer my own, but we wanted to have this on hand for travel and rushed mornings. I’m looking for the tannin absorption properties of this added protein and ended up adjusting my bottles by adding my own dairy substitute and yes, actually some sugar.
