The most comfortable pool float I have owned in 19 years!!
UPDATED REVIEW, 06/09/13: I have gotten over 2 years use out of this float. It has it's "issues" - has faded pretty badly, loses a bit of air in the chambers requiring you put a bit more in the air chambers weekly, and it is a BEAST to blow up yearly (it has 8 air chambers). Besides all this, I continue to find it the most comfortable pool float I have ever had, and with 2 years use, durable as well. The float is heavy enough that it has never been blown out of our pool during a thunderstorm, so this adds considerably to the durability factor. I prefer to float in a mostly upright position so I can read, look around, etc., so this float is ideal for me.I purchased this pool lounge chair/float about 2 months ago. It has been used many times in the past 2 months. I do not like to write reviews until I have given the product a "good run". So, with this pool float, so far/so good! This pool float is, by far, the most comfortable pool float I have ever owned in my 19 years as a pool owner. Let me give you the good and the few "bad" points. Good: 1). Super comfortable 2). The "fabric" is actually a pretty durable, high density polyester but it does have a fabric like feel and is non-sticky and comfortable. 3). It has been used at least 50 times in the past 2+ months and is holding it's own as far as durability in a chlorine based pool environment. 4). It does need a few puffs of air in some of the air baffles/pockets every week or so, but no big deal ............. no major leaks of any kind. ALL pool floats need the occasional bit of air added to compensate for air loss from the expansion/contraction from the sun and then cooler nights. The "bad" points: 1). There are multiple (8) air baffles that need inflated. Someone had mentioned how difficult it was to inflate some of the air baffles/pockets and then re-insert them into the proper compartments...............!? I don't know what would possess someone to remove the baffles to fill them!? I did remove the air baffles/bladders to stretch them out a bit and decompress them. I then re-inserted them back into their respective areas before I inflated them................no problems. 2). The "cup holder" is a joke...........really! It does not align well with the hole in the air bladder beneath, but if it is important to you and you do persist, you can get it to hold a standard beer/soda can or bottle. 3). As a previous reviewer mentioned you really do NOT rest back into a reclined position as the portrait suggest; the "model" on the box must be pushing back. This chair holds you in a fairly upright position. To allow my head to rest back a bit, I found that if I only put a bit of air into the very top (small) air bladder on the headrest you can rest your head back a bit. However, anyone who purchases this who has a cervical spine issue or who wants to recline backwards will be disappointed. Overall, I am very pleased with this pool float and if I get 2 or 3 seasons out of it I will be happy. It is hands down the most comfortable pool float I have ever owned (but I like sitting upright on a pool chair) and it can handle a person 200#+ if necessary and still remain buoyant.

Manufacturing Defect in Outer Cover
This is the 3rd time I have ordered a float from Amazon in the last week . The first one, of a different manufacturer, leaked. Then we decided to switch to Swimline since we have had exceptional service from their products before. The first Swimline float shipped to us last week was used. The cover had dirt on it as though it was drug over a garage floor. Neither the pillow nor the mattress would hold air. Returned it for a replacement. The replacement was delivered yesterday. Both the pillow and the float held air over night. Finally a success........BUT NO...... my wife noticed a 5 inch rip in the in the outer cover. After further review, it was a manufacturing defect in the outer cover that appeared to look like a rip. The seams of two panels were not properly sewn together. They simply missed a 5 inch section when sewing. This is becoming a ridiculous scenario. Now in trying to return this product for "another" attempt to get a QUALITY product , the Amazon website will not allow us another try. I get a "We are sorry Something went wrong" message. I've tried 5 times to send it back for our last try and the website will not allow it for some reason. One more try tomorrow hoping for success. Success... Amazon approved the 3rd return... so with great hope, I ordered a 4th. Dumb decision....Update: NEVER ORDER AN INFLATABLE PRODUCT FROM AMAZON...The 4th ordered pool float arrived today 06/07/2022. I chose to have it packaged in an Amazon package hoping for a better outcome. I assumed a box but it was shipped in a plastic pouch. The pouch had a box knife cut in it as received. The cut extended thru the Swimline box. Unbelievably, it did not appear to have cut the float itself. I put air in the float; but, as before the float would not hold air. ...Another failed product received. It almost seems that Amazon is sending me their previously failed products. After 4 failed attempts by Amazon to send me a quality, marketable product, I'm DONE!!! I do not think Amazon has the ability to do so. No More. Tired of repackaging and returning. Amazon, if you are listening, I have pictures of the delivered products prior to opening, if you have interest.

great float!
Hands down the most comfortable floatie I've ever owned and the most stable to get on or off of without dumping yourself into the water. I went through 3 Wal-Mart cheapos the first week of swim season when I decided enough is enough! Ordered this one and now everyone wants to use it. The hubs is 6'4", 270 lbs and he's perfectly comfortable on it as well. The only drawback is that it won't stay fully aired but that is actually okay because it makes it more comfy. I will say I had a hard time using the electric pump to blow it up because for some reason there's a weird combo of holding the inflator valve and the air pump hose just right. Don't get me started on trying to blow it up with your lungs. It is indeed an "air mattress" and a pump is necessary unless you want to pass out in the 30-45 minutes it takes to do it the old fashioned way. However, all that aside, it is a great float. It doesn't get hot to the touch and works like a charm to lay on your stomach as well as your back because the pillow is just right to lay across, arms out & face down without it touching the water but yet still able to relax and breathe well.**update 8/18/15 - Our daughter's dog LOVES this float. He always wants to get on it with me when I'm in the pool. His nails don't puncture it (it's held up well to him walking/standing on it) and as you can see, he thinks he's a surfer. The only thing it has not held up to is being a chew toy for him. I came out the other day and evidently he caught it when it was on the tanning shelf of the pool and decided to drag it out to sleep on it. It had several bite marks that punctured it, so in the trash it went. Guess I'm in the market to buy a new one! This time I'll keep it put up away from him when I'm not outside. ;)
