THC tape is better and obvious plastic. This will work in the pinch I needed and the convienence of it being assembled. I can see why this has to be replaced often in racks.I had a secondhand rack that had the same brand of heat tape as this ad, I have no idea how old it was but it had burned through just the same as cardstock paper, it works but just keep in mind it can easily burn up and cause fire. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great heating mat *by H***A on Reviewed in the United States on February 12, 2017* This company delivers their products in a timely fashion. It lies down nicely on any hard surface and heats up immediately. I love the fact they came in different lengths and sizes. The only reason why I did not give it 5 stars is because it would be nice if the dimmer had some sort of descriptions for how hot it is. I suppose it is not really possible because of the different factors such as the current air temperature. I am just experimenting some to figure out the right level to use. I use this at the bottom of my betta fish tanks and it got them up to a little over 80 degrees yesterday. Now I'm trying to get it to 78 degrees which is an optimal temperature for them. The tanks I have are on the small side so I don't trust the heaters you put into the tanks.
