However, this still does a very good job and, for the money, it is outstanding. You receive a sturdy, metal-encased transmitter; a decent belt pack (with digital display to show frequency, channel and battery life) and a set of earbuds which, to be honest, aren't at all bad. However, as with most of these kits, the earbuds are the weakest aspect of the set, and I replaced these with a more expensive pair.In terms of sound quality, it's not bad at all. There is some crackling, which is only audible when everything else is dead quiet, and you have to take care to set the volume levels off the mixer correctly, or you'll find things distorting. The set also seems to cut out if you have one signal element peaking (we had an issue with a digital kick drum sample), although this is easily resolved with a little time and care at the mixer, or by having a word with the sound engineer if it's a live situation.Overall, I've used this set both in rehearsal and on stage and it has made singing so much easier than when I had to fight with (inevitably crappy) wedge monitors and it is a fantastic starter set for those getting into IEMs. At some point, I may upgrade, but for the time being they more than meet my needs. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic value for money... *by J***N on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 8 July 2019* ...but do not expect hi fi sound quality.Like other reviewers I have upgraded the earphones (to Shure SE 215) which improves the sound quality a little but the supplied ones are just about adequate. Neither are as good as budget full size headphones which I tried with the receiver pack. For best bass response the in ear phones should be tight inside the ears which I find uncomfortable so I do not mind hearing external sounds mixed with that from the phones. In my experience in ear phones always a compromise sound quality but set against that is convenience of use and light weight on stage. It needs a little getting used to but for the specific job of enabling me to play guitar direct through the mixer, and still be able to hear what I am playing, this system fits the bill completely.Knowing this quality is available at this price, and accepting the compromise of in ear phones at any price point I would think very carefully before spending hundreds of pounds on a more so called professional set up. ### ⭐⭐⭐ 3.0 out of 5 stars Not suitable for guitar players *by R***G on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 2 January 2020* I bought these specifically as in-ear monitors, unfortunately they change the tone by adding too much treble and top end in general. This is pretty bad for guitar playing - you'll struggle to find the right sound with these.If they had a mini-eq built it would solved the problem but they don't. I didn't have any other problems with them - the range was pretty good and battery life not bad at all.
