## Description

Building on the core works of The Rational Male – Preventive Medicine presents a poignant outline of the phases of maturity and the most commonly predictable experiences men can expect from women as they progress through various stages of life.Rational and pragmatic, the book explores the intergender and social dynamics of each stage of women's maturity and provides a practical understanding for men in dealing with women in those phases. Preventive Medicine also provides revealing outlines of feminine social primacy, Hypergamy, the 'Hierarchies of Love' and the importance of understanding the conventional nature of complementary masculinity in a world designed to keep men ignorant of it.The Rational Male – Preventive Medicine seeks to help men who "wish they knew then what they know now."The book is the first in of series complements to The Rational Male, the twelve-year core writing of author/blogger Rollo Tomassi from therationalmale.com. Rollo Tomassi is one of the leading voices in the globally growing, male-focused online consortium known as the “Manosphere”.

Review: How to Be a Man in All Stages of Life - Back when I was a teenager living with my parents, there was an old paperback from the 70's called Passages gathering dust on one of the bookshelves. I browsed through it once or twice, and while I couldn't really relate to most of the stuff, I did think it was neat how it laid out a road map for how men and women change in their personalities and goals as they age. Well now, Rollo Tomassi has taken this one step further, and written the definitive life-stage guide for a masculine man living in a feminized 21st century world. Let me be clear: this book is BETTER than the original Rational Male. The first one was a great book in its own right and maybe had more important fundamental concepts but it had no clear organizational structure and read more like a series of loosely related blog posts. This one knows where it is going. The book focuses on the life stages of women and how they go from being crazy for hawt guys but somewhat unaware of their power in their teen years to the party years of the 20's to the panic that sets in around 30 to the epiphany where they rationalize that they finally realize how much they appreciate the comfort and provider aspects of men. Although the focus is on women, men are included indirectly since many of their decisions are based of optimization of intimate encounters with said women. The later chapters do, in fact, go into greater detail about how men should respond to all of this in their outlook and important decisions. I interact with girls/women of all ages from teen through college coed through bitter 30's-40's as a result of a variety of social hobbies and Tomassi's descriptions seem pretty accurate. No matter what your stage in life, you can benefit by knowing women's "angle" and not falling into their frame and thereby making decisions that will continue to haunt you down the road. To sum this book up, it made me recall an experience from a couple years back. I was in my hometown for Christmas and paid a visit to an old high school friend at his law firm. He married a tall stunning blonde southern belle right out of college, has a high-paying attorney job, is in the process of building a big new house in the right neighborhood, and has two bright young sons. Meanwhile, I was invisible to desirable women through college and all my 20's. I have an ok job but not particularly lucrative or prestigious, and I fill a lot of my time with reading, team sports, and other hobbies to fill the lack of a family life. Strangely enough, though, there was a slight tinge of regret in my friend's voice as he told me that he envied my freedom. At the time, I thought he was just being nice so as to not draw attention to our relative social status, but after reading this book, I realize he was probably serious. It's not that he doesn't love his family and success but it is all he has ever known. The wife will continue to make demands on his time and energy and even in a best case scenario, she will never be as sexy or amorous as she was at 22. Meanwhile, while some aspects of my life have, frankly, sucked so far (especially when it comes to women) they are likely to improve a great deal, and I now have this book to thank in part for that.
Review: If you read the first book, you MUST read the second! - This book is a great guide to the majority of women and their timeline. I’ll say it once and I’ll say it again, and probably other people will say it in the reviews, all men need to read this book. The truth will set you free. Be sure to read the first rational male. Then proceed to this book which is the second installment. If you’ve read the first installment, I highly suggest you read the second installment (this book) it’s less information and you’ll get through the book a lot faster than the first installment. Unplug from the feminine imperative and take control.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure"
*by P***9 on December 9, 2016*

"An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure" "The Rational Male - Preventive Medicine" is the second volume in The Rational Male series by Rollo Tomassi. The series is centered around understanding and conveying the messages of "The Red Pill"/"Manosophere" movements/philosophies. If you dont know much about these movements/philosophies then I suggest you Google them first and start with the authors first book. This is a gross oversimplification but in essence their a self help movement trying to understand and navigate intergender reltionships/interactions and empower men in a world society that is largely focused on the opposite (disempowering men and empowering woman). "Taking The Red Pill" is basically becoming aware of the true nature of reality (in this case involving the relationships between the two genders) & changing ones behavior to better survive (and hopefully thrive) in said reality. The authors first book was more of a "why" book. This book on the other hand is meant to be a "how"/"heal book". In particular it hones in on the various stages woman & men go through and what their thinking and looking for at the moment in their life (in regard to romance). Very useful to know when considering a potential partner. Futhermore the author goes into self help advice in general to help men (and possible woman) maximize their potential while limiting potential life altering mistakes that many men/woman (especially those who are unaware of the red pill) make. Lastly the author includes a much needed glossary of the terms used in the movements/philosophies so that's a plus. Overall I feel the author delivered on his purpose. My only complaint is that this book is not really "beginner" friendly. So again check out volume one and do a bit of Googling if your new to the movements/philosophies. The book is best read in conjuction with other books. I would start with "The Game" & "Rules of The Game" (especially this one!) by Neil Strauss. Also check out "No More Mr Nice Guy", "Modern Romance" & "The Selfish Gene". These books all fit into the theme of self improvement and understanding and navigating interpersonal relationships. Good book and a potentially life changing one. 5/5.
