The trays are a thick plastic, with real metal spacers in between. The color is listed a clear green, but it's more of a mint/light teal color, which is my favorite. It was worth the money. If I have to be at my desk 40 hours a week, I want it to be a visually pleasing place. I would highly recommend.

Acrimet 4 tier letter tray review: I love this! It is so beautiful. It is sturdy, lots of room in between each tray. The translucent color makes my desk look bigger.
