Will it fit in a standard pin vise?** A: Diameter of the shaft is 1/8" or .125 **Q: Can I put these in a dremel tool?** A: Absolutely, but you have to remember these are extremely brittle. ANY side force will break the bit. You are best served using them in some sort of press but with very steady hands and a thoughtful method, operating by hand is possible. **Q: can these be use by hand twisting on brass jets in carburetors to enlarge the one increiment at a time?** A: I'm going to say yes. I twist them by hand, but I should also mention that I'm drilling into wood. I build model ships. Drilling into brass might be possible, but be aware that these bits, although very effective drilling into wood, are very brittle. I can't tell you how many have snapped on me when I least suspect it and I have to break out another set. I've learned to drill carefully and with patience. Other than that, I do like these bits and have started using them in my Dremel. **Q: Are these recommended for drilling into raw semi-precious stones (like Crystal Quartz, amethyst, agate etc) for the purpose of creating pendant holes?** A: No. You really need a diamond bit or hole saw, depending on the size.
