**Q: If these are used for distilled spirits - is it a one time use or can these be re-used multiple times?**
A: Thank you for your inquiry. If you use the spirals multiple times they will not give the same oak flavor.

**Q: I have cabernet wine in 3 gal carboys aging right now. i want to add french oak. if i cut the spindle in 1/2 how long should i leave it in? 6 weeks?**
A: It depends on the amount of oak flavor you prefer.

**Q: Do the spirals fit through the mouth of a carboy? And how much suggested for a 6 gallon batch?**
A: Thank you for your inquiry. The spirals do fit through the mouth of the carboy. I would recommend attaching fishing line to the spirals. It makes life much easier when trying to remove the spirals. The length of time depends on how much of an oak flavor you would like. It is usually about two weeks for a good oak flavor.

**Q: How big is this?**
A: Each spiral is approximately 12 inches long. 2 spirals come in each packet. I used an equivalent weight of spiral to the amount of oak chips I used to us. The surface area is equivalent. All you need to do is break a piece off the spiral.
