Please, do NOT use this as your main connection between an important device like a cable modem and your coax line. While yes, technically, it will work...it is absolutely NOT ideal. The number one cause of ingress or egress in a cable plant system is loose connections from customer homes. While it may seem to you that a fully pushed in "push-on" connector is making a good connection, it absolutely does not take the place of a proper f-connector torqued to the industry standard of 20 ft./lbs. Using something like this is an excellent way to have your service temporarily disconnected until a service call is generated for a tech to come find out where all the ingress is coming from. Not to mention that if it was enough to get your line disconnected, you're probably dealing with a degraded internet connection and/or pixelation and freezing if you have cable tv service, caused by using this push-on connector. Push-on connecters are more of a temporary use, mainly for quick connects/disconnects of coax lines where longevity and reliability is NOT required. As the other cable guy said, he used it for his signal meter, which is a more understandable reason for wanting to use something like this. But even then, I've found techs having problems with their meters because their push-on got worn out and no longer made a stable connection between their meter and the line they were trying to test. This particular push-on is more robust than the flimsier types without the heavy duty sheathe that this one has, but still, try not to use these for permanent connections or where a reliable connection is required or wanted. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ For Heavy Use it's perfect *by E***A on September 18, 2024* Now I've seen some comment about expensive and easy to lose. yes it cost more than others but this is mean to be use daily, disconnecting on and off as you're using it, this is tailored for a cable technician that uses it attached to a $5k meter to do his work. If it's attached to the end of the cable of the meter test machine it cannot be lost or misplaced. If you're using it for its intended use it's a wonderful quick connect that allows you to connect to connectors at the tap (top of the pole or pedestals) side of the house, or inside the house behind cable devices like modems, mta or cable boxes using a barrel. I've bought three of this already and more likely will continue to buy more as they wear out due to heavy use 5 days a week 8hours a day during my workday. The product does it's intended purpose and the price reflects that. You losing it had nothing to do with the quality of the product or intended use. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Adapter converts screw-on connector to slide on. It was a pain to be constantly screwing and unscrewing the coax cable. This adapter screws to the antenna cable and then just slides onto the coax fitting. Been 2 months and.holding up great. Even works good with the rubber piece in the S.A taps, goes right in the hole every time, no issues. Also no issues with any MER/BER errors. Normally the slip on fittings the little ring will pop off then it doesnt grip well. That wont happen with this because the sleeve around it.
