Described as compatible with Start 25, no details about connector. On arrival noticed RDS-TMc has mini usb out to TomTom, and the Strat 25 uses a single micro usb in for data and power. Have tried a mini to micro usb adaptor, but does not transmit power. The advert is misleading. It cannot be determined that an adaptor would be needed or which adaptor fits from the advert and photo.I've not been able to find any mini USB female to male micro USB (right angle) adaptors or cables that are sold for power and data.In my opinion, DO NOT BUY IF YOUR TOMTOM HAS A MICRO USB INPUT.

Works for me!
I like this. I've had it for a year and it does what it says on the box. I only use it on long Motorway / A road trips where it is worth getting the cable out and dangling it across your dash board. If you arent into fiddly cables and connectors then this perhaps isnt for you....... if you do long trips and can deal with the dangling cable then it really puts some umph behind your Tom Tom. The idea behind the TomTom RDS TMC receiver is that the traffic data from FM signal is displayed on your Tom Tom without a monthly fee. Incidents are displayed on screen with the total expected delay time and you are offered the option to replan. Mostly it picks up a signal very quickly - it can make route calculations slower on both my Tom Tom 1 and Tom Tom 1 IQ Routes. However, It works for me.......... and has saved me hours.

TomTom RDS Traffic Receiver
I bought this to go with a TomTom One IQ unit. I'd previously owned an earlier model paired with a TomTom One v3 unit. The previous version worked fine; this one works fine. The fact that it's got its own power supply, and the fact that there's now only one connection to make to the unit, pretty much cancel out for me. I have no complaints about it and I'm glad I bought it. It was hardly a 'competitive' purchase as AFAIK there is only one item that will do the job with that TT unit anyway.

Waste of Money
This product is rubbish. The suction pads don't keep it in place but keep falling off - they do this on the satnav lead as well! - and it hardly ever pick up any signal. On a round trip to Sussex via Wimbledon it picked up nothing on the way out and only worked for a short time on the last part of the M25 return trip. This happened each time I tried to use it. DO NOT BUY

It works but does take its time to get a signal. Didn't really use it that much. A little pointless/reactive buying on my part.
