Review: Easy to install and keeps excellent time - good replacement pendulum movement - Bought this to replace a quartz pendulum movement for a clock I made. Please be sure to check the clearance you have between the clock face and the inside surface of the glass door in front of the clock face compared to the movement (remembering to subtract the thickness of the clock face from the movement length!) This movement does not include a pendulum (which was fine for me - I already have one). The hands provided were a little long for my clock face. If necessary I could have easily trimmed them to length - I ended up using the original hands which fit well on the new movement. The movement does have a second hand function, which I really did not need - there is a brass button that presses into the end of the movement if you don't use the second hand to improve the look. (the brass button in my kit was already installed on the second hand, but comes off readily.) NO chimes or fake "tick" noise, which I did not want anyway. I installed it 3 days ago - took less than 15 minutes - Instructions are adequate - and the clock has been keeping excellent time since than.. Quartz movements are by definition accurate, but its always nice to confirm that its so. Happy with the choice - would definitely recommend it for a replacement of an existing movement if the length of the spindle works for you.

**Q: Can I remove the second hand?**
A: The second hand just pushes into place.  I do not see why you cannot just leave it off if it bothers you.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wish it took C battery instead of AA, but works very well

I used this to replace the movement and hands of a 24" Ballard Designs clock. It's been in the clock for about 3 weeks and is working very well. It takes one AA battery and I wish it took a C so I wouldn't have to keep an eye on the battery or take the clock down often to replace it. It was easy to install. I ordered a different set of hands, and they fit perfectly on the motor. It's true that the pendulum barely moves.
