**Q: What is the size of the balls? 3 mm, 5 mm?? Length of sticks?**
A: The comment that the steel balls are 7mm is wrong. While I don't have a way to measure them accurately they are around 12mm.  I believe the part about the sticks being 25mm is correct but again I didn't measure. 2 balls together are just a little bit shorter than a stick.

**Q: Do the rods magnetically link to each other?**
A: Yes. There are small magnets within each end of each small rod that will stick to each other or to the small magnet balls.

**Q: Can these magnetic building sets be used to make three-dimensional modeling? I'm planning to use these sets in math teaching.**
A: YES!  You can make it, very good idea.

I bought these as a Christmas present for my 10 year old son. He had already received a set of these preciously for his birthday but he plays with them all the time and was begging for another set to add to his collection. I wouldn't recommend these for young kids because the magnetic balls that come with the sticks are quite small and could possibly be a choking hazard. The designs kids can make with these is absolutely amazing. My kid can literally spend hours at a time playing with these so if you weren't sure whether or not to get these for your kid. I say go ahead. I'll bet they will love them.
