This is the perfect pen turning starter set of Carter and Son woodturning tools and is suited for a wide range of pen and smaller between center work. This set contains the following items: 1/2 inch spindle gouge, 1/4 inch detail spindle gouge, 12 inch x 3/4 inch handle, 3/8 inch and 1/2 inch adapters. Blades are machined from M42 high speed steel and heat-treated to 68 HRC for strength and durability. Each tools is hand sharpened by professionals at Carter and Son Toolworks and shipped sharp and ready to use. Blades are made from premium M42 HSS containing 10% cobalt. This steel produces a cutting edge that will hone to a finer edge than standard HSS with superior edge holding ability. Comfortable and chatter-free modular handles are made from 6061 aircraft grade aluminum and will last a lifetime of turning. 100% made in USA. Backed by a lifetime guarantee.
