Review: Easy install for dummies! - This is a cheap and easy deal. I bought this since our home loses power pretty often. Routing electricity through the attic was a pain, but the actual product itself was ridiculously simple. Regular homes (120v) don’t use the red cord so you just cap it, then connect the white & black. My one complaint is not knowing this is meant to install on a square box instead of a round one. The lip of the round one sticks out, but I can paint it later.
