I’m a licensed hairstylist but bought this for home use with my daughters. I never use an iron over 370 on their hair. This iron works well and holds curl at that heat. We’ve used it on lightened, colored, virgin hair and extensions, it’s been great with all. Feels better on the hair and safer for my teenagers to use than my heavy, searing-surface-of-the-sun irons at the salon. ***Note: It’s an adjustment not to curl hair at 400 plus degrees.
