Universal laptop tray that connects to monitor stands with VESA patterns. This tray is ideal for use on a dual monitor stand to place your laptop next to your monitor. You can also connect this tray to a single height-adjustable monitor stand to use it as a full-motion laptop arm. The MI-2352T tray has adjustable clips on the side to fit almost all brands and sizes of laptops on the market. The tray measures 28 cm in height and 29.7 cm in width. The security clips can extend up to 15.2 inches wide and retract to 9.5 inches to hold the laptop in place. The bottom edges prevent the laptop from sliding down. **Q: Can this support a laptop upside down? I would prefer not to mount a monitor..**
A: I tried this and I hope I understood it correctly meaning that the tray holding the latop would actually be facing the floor? Not sure what you mean with not having to mount a monitor though so I'm not sure.

I tried it with my Surface book 2 (13.5", 1642 g 3.62 lbs and 18-32 mm high). It works alright and seems to hold it good enough. Although I don't think I would feel safe having it hanging there just hold up by the two plastic holders. It would feel a lot safer to put an extra strap to hold it in place. And for laptops that are larger than mine the two plastic holders may not hold it as well as it did with mine, so then an extra strap would surely be needed.

**Q: Is the arm included?**
A: No. It’s just the laptop mount tray. The arm is sold separately.

**Q: how tall are the nubs on the bottom that keep the laptop from sliding off? And can they be folded down at all?**
A: They are about a inch tall and yes they can be folded.. I don’t use mine for a lap top, I use mine for Pioneer CD turntable and have them folded down and they work well.

**Q: Can I adjust the height of the side clips? I would like them to be lower.**
A: Yes they can slide them up and down independently. When at the bottom the distance to the bottom knobs are around 8 cm from the bottom of the side clip and 10 from its top.

I needed this to be able to type lying on my back. I'm a writer and my laptop is my lifeline, but I'm disabled with severe chronic pain. I had to use zip ties to keep the laptop in place on this thing, along with an additional clamp at the bottom, and my laptop isn't any larger than recommended. Still, it didn't seem to be any worse than any of the others I saw on here, and much better than it landing on my head whilst trying to work. Bad enough when my phone hits me in the face.
