I got the size XL. I waivered back and forth between L & XL. I am 5'6" and I have a muscular/curvy body. My measurements: 173 lbs and size 36D bra and 41-inches around the largest part of my bum. Waist is around 29-30 inches around my navel. I wear size 10 Jessica Simpson jeans that are slightly loose, and a size medium t-shirt. The XL fits me perfectly. If your hips/thighs are thicker, it will 'indent' giving a muffin leg experience. Also, the big downfall was the lack of support in the chest!!! The straps do not fall as they do on the photo (maybe if i took a couple mins to move them around). For a last minute bathing suit, i suppose it works, but I still have mine in the package and it's beyond the return point so I am stuck with it!
