He's at a weird stage where chapter books are either too easy and babyish or conversely the chapters are too long for him to sit through. His class is studying the Iditarod at school and doing a reading challenge to go along with it, so I thought I'd get him some books to read for the challenge. I ordered a couple and this one was the clear winner. He loved the book- choosing reading over video games!- and asked for more in the series! A win-win!

My 9 year old son is an advanced reader who doesn't particularly enjoy reading. He's at a weird stage where chapter books are either too easy and babyish or conversely the chapters are too long for him to sit through. His class is studying the Iditarod at school and doing a reading challenge to go along with it, so I thought I'd get him some books to read for the challenge. I ordered a couple and this one was the clear winner. He loved the book- choosing reading over video games!- and asked for more in the series! A win-win!
