I checked it with the ph strips and after adding the drops it was no different, it was still 6. I called the company about this and they said a man from their laboratory would contact me. I wonder if I can boil water with the drops in it...** A: I am not an expert, but I would not suggest to add PH drops to the coffee machine or to boil it. The alkaline drops are basically Potassium hydroxide and Sodium hydroxide. The heat may create some unwanted reactions and change your water PH. The water evaporates and causing metal deposit. You can add the drops to water of the coffee machine, but you will have to check the final PH to make sure that it is still alkaline.
