When i first got it, I did about 50 laps, then now, once I start to feel a little drag, I do 3 laps on each side, alternating. I don't think I'll ever run out of this! This also works well for polishing the edge. Btw, my arkansas stone is only 1000 grit, but I went straight from that to this, and it works fine, can push cut paper about half an inch to three quarter of an inch from my finger. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Great for a homemade strop *by J***O on Reviewed in the United States on March 16, 2018* I used this to create a home made strop. I'm new to this so I wet the rouge with water and then ran my buffing wheel on it and it worked.
