Quite a few spoons and forks have gone missing since. Our originals are not the high gloss finish, so finding a correct matching set in the flat/satin finish hasn’t been all that easy when shopping local stores. But, this set is the real deal. Authentic Oneida Dover in the low gloss/satin finish. Yes, there are some very minor differences, which other reviews have pointed out making it sound unreasonable. But that’s to be expected given the changes in VOC compliance regulations, origins of material, location of manufacturing, and manufacturing process updates. Our original set was made in USA a few decades ago. This new set is made in Vietnam. The finish is practically the same and the design hasn’t changed.
